Amplify You - Part 3 of 3

Hey Peeps,

This is Part 3 of 3 -Amplify You series, Today, I am writing about how you can amplify your career by using AI

As all my earlier post, this is also practical experiments that I am doing for myself.

Before we dive into AI, I want to emphasis that your network is the core for career development. Your network isn't who you know. It's who knows what you can do.

Your past work isn't a portfolio. It's proof.

AI will create new roles. But it won't create your reputation.

That's being built now. Always remember, world is a surprisingly very small place; you never know with whom you cross path again.

Now back to AI learnings, I have segregated this post into three parts, LinkedIN, Other ways I am experimenting using AI and a paid tool for job application (trust me the last one; is something you also always wanted while applying for jobs).

Career

Upgrade your LinkedIn and use it

I seriously don't understand; why people are still not using LinkedIN to build their personal brand and voice (In coming times, that's goanna be even more important). Start with these 2 basic steps by using AI:

-  Upgrade your profile pic- Here's a link to a post where I have kept several prompts to generate a good portrait photo using AI.

Even if you don't want use my example; just take a photo image from google which you like, ask ChatGPT to give you a prompt to generate a similar picture with your photo. Once you have prompt, use that in ChatGPT image with your image.

Pro Tip - Input = Output, Therefore, always try that color/shade of your photo matches with what you are asking in prompt for better result.

 -  Improve your profile search result- Here's prompt; which will help you to analyze & amplify your LinkedIn profile (I have seen improvement of my search result from 1% to 4% in 3 weeks)

Prompt - Optimize my LinkedIn profile to increase the search appearance in LinkedIn. Here’s my profile link (add CV also)

Other ways I am experimenting using AI

  • Lately, I have also being using ChatGPT for finding gap b/w my experience and the roles I want to work in future. This helps me to train myself. Here’s the prmpt you can try.

    Prompt- Make a checklist what I need to become ready and be right candidate for the job

    Add, the link of job position you want.

  • Asking someone their salary directly?

    Awkward. Unnecessary. Outdated.

    AI can do this for you now. Use it to:

    → Compare salaries for roles you're applying to

    → Benchmark your current position against the market

    → Tailor your CV to specific job descriptions

  • Lastly, I use the Space in Perplexity as Interview Roleplay Coach.

    Pro Tip- I also give a complete background of person who's going to take my interview and not only job role.

    PS- It was great help for my last interview final round to prepare my thoughts in structured way.

Now the paid tool; EnhanCV

  • I bought the 3 months subscription recently and the use-case was fantastic. I always wanted an automated list which can track all my job applied; here's out it looks

The best part is not only this; it has an extension in your browser, which automatically detects the job you are applying and ask permission to add in the list. They have feature to connect to email also; but I did't used that one. (only use, if you have separate email for job applications)

 - Obviously, it does the basic AI feature of template and resume writing; what stands out is the way you can "Tailor for Job"
